Windsor knot is what the half-Windsor know is named after, sort of. The half-Windsor will be pretty much half of the Windsor knot. This tie is one of the most common of all ties search on the internet today and by all means any normal daily tie wearer should know this tie knot. This tie does need the most practice in doing, though, as it can be pretty difficult. Also, for this reason they should really only be worn on special occasions, unless that is, if you are a fan of wide collars and love wearing them all the time, sort of like dress shirts. Just like the half-Windsor, the Windsor, or also called the double-Windsor, has a triangular shape to it. It is by far the most perfect tie knot you can pick when you have a spread collar. It also goes great with stripes and other patterns that are more modern. If you got a large neck, this will compliment it well. If you plan on going with this tie knot, you should really consider getting yourself a tie that has extra length to it, as he Windsor tie knot requires the use of more tie then other knots. It should end up, from tip to tip, to be around 63 to 64 inches long.
